Cinescope Optics are back in the Dam, thats Amsterdam, for the second year running. This year they have the Full Frame Red Monstro, to showcase the amazing full frame capabilities of the Cinescope rehoused Leica R lenses. Special shout out to Camalot Rentals in Amsterdam, who kindly lent Cinescope the Camera for the week. Camerlot actually placed the very first Cinescope Optics order back in 2016. I think its safe to say that they were well and truly ‘future proof’.
Cinescope Optics had a great turn out at the Paramount Studios based CineGear 2018 in LA. It showcased for the second year running, its state of the art TLS designed and engineered Cinescope rehoused Leica R’s.
Cinescope were even visited by the son of US Rapper and Forbes mogul P Diddy who was keen to place an order. Check out the cool pic.
Cinescope Optics were at BSC Expo 2018 in its home town of London, England.
It was a wonderful showcase of the very best equipment in the industry, which also marked the release of the new FULL FRAME Arri Alexa LF. This is great for Cinescope as it continues to show the industry of its ‘future proof’ lenses.

Cinescope Optics have just announced that this year will mark the release of the rehoused 24mm and 180mm Elmarit R Cinescope conversions. The two new TLS designs have been scheduled for a late spring / early summer release with many existing Cinescope customers pre-ordering both new lens additions.

Sony heard we were in town and asked to showcase their amazing new Sony Venice full frame camera with our equally brilliant full frame Cinescope Optics rehoused Leica lenses. The results were outstanding and Sony were real fans of our lenses after the tests.
VENICE is equipped with a 36x24mm full-frame image sensor, designed specifically for the demands and performance of high end cinematography, and can capture images up to a maximum resolution of 6048 x 4032*. By switching imager modes, VENICE can natively support Super35 24.9×18.7mm, 4096 x 3024 resolution (equivalent to 4-perforation motion picture film) and Super35 24.9×14.0mm 4096 x 2160 resolution (equivalent to 3-perforation motion picture film). In other words, VENICE’s new full-frame sensor can capture in almost any format, including full 18mm-height Super35 Anamorphic and spherical and full-frame 24mm-height Anamorphic and spherical*. Almost any aspect ratio can be conjured up: 1.85:1, 2.39:1, 17:9, the list goes on in full-frame* or Super35.

Cinescope Optics showcased its brand new rehoused Leica R Prime lenses for the first time in LA at the world famous Paramount Studios in Los Angeles.
This was the first official American launch of the lenses which saw people travel from all over the world to get a peak at the amazing Cinescope Optic lenses.
Some as far as Australia. We thank CineGear Expo for a great show and look forward to next years event .

So it became official at the prestigious London BSC Expo 2017 that Cinescope Optics have teamed up with world leaders in cinema lens conversions TLS to bring to market the rehoused Leica R. Cinescope will be offering the rehoused Leica R Elmarit, Summircon and Summilux in 11 different variations. Check out the lenses on the products page.
Red Europe got wind of Cinescope and TLS’s new announced of the brand new launch of the Cinescope rehoused Leica’s and kindly asked if they could demo the 35mm Summicron on their stand at BSC 2017. They had the Red Weapon Vista Vision sensor which they specially imported due to its scarcity. The 35mm Cinescope rehoused Leica R Summircon covered the whole image perfectly, reinforcing its future proof status.
