Warranty Service

The Cinescope warranty applies only to Cinescope lenses purchased from Cinescope directly, or an authorised Cinescope reseller, and it shall remain in force only as long as the original owner retains ownership of the Cinescope product. This warranty is not transferable. If you are purchasing from a reseller not registered with us, please contact Cinescope Ltd to verify if your reseller is authorised.

Upon original purchase of your Cinescope lens, we ask that you retain your original purchase receipt. Your warranty will commence from date of purchase.

Cinescope Ltd warranty guarantees all Cinescope lenses, intended for use by professionals, will be free from mechanical defects in material and workmanship for one year (12 months) after date of purchase and free from optical defects for three months after the date of purchase. Cinescope reserves the right, before having any obligation under this warranty, to inspect the damaged Cinescope product, and all costs of shipping the Cinescope product to and from Cinescope for inspection are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Cinescope reserves the right to change specification of Cinescope manufactured goods with or without prior notice.

This warranty is void, if damage is caused by the use of accessories not sold or authorised by Cinescope. This warranty is void if the purchaser obtains services from third-parties prior to informing Cinescope of such defects, or if the purchaser opens the lens through DIY (do-it-yourself). Under warranty, Cinescope  must be given due notice of all defects with Cinescope lenses. Cinescope is not responsible for any labour, shipping or damage costs incurred by the purchaser in relation to third-party or DIY (do-it-yourself) repair services. This warranty does not cover claims resulting from natural disasters (e.g. floods, storms, fire), acts of war or terrorism and will not apply to damage arising from combat conditions, including but not limited to, damage due to firearms, explosives, nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons. It will be at Cinescope’s sole discretion to extend service under this warranty for damage arising from the above-mentioned conditions.

Cinescope’s obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement by equivalent product in working condition. This warranty is non-transferable and does not apply to any purchaser who bought the product from a reseller or distributor not authorised by Cinescope. This warranty does not affect any other legal rights you may have by operation of law.
